In memory of Kate Brown LRPS DPAGB

Members will know that Kate has lost her long battle with cancer. Leaving her husband Keith, along with her two sons Alex & Sam – who were all at Kate’s bedside. Keith has asked me to display some of Kates’s favourite photographs. But first I would like to display a photo of Kate with her beloved husband Keith. Taken in January 2017, whilst Kate was recovering from surgery and chemotherapy.

Kate helped Keith to produce this montage of the Valley Care ladies and friends saying hello during their “Sparkle Walk” , raising funds for Ashgate Hospicecare – 19th Sept 2020

Kate loved photography, so it’s fitting that I display the panel of images Kate presented to the Royal Photographic Society on 17th May 2009. When Kate’s work led to her admission as a ‘Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society’

During lockdown The Rt Revd Libby Lane, Bishop of Derby, awarded Kate a Bishop’s Badge, in recognition of Kate’s work in mission and ministry within the Diocese of Derby.
